Launched in 1983, "Sensei's " maiden voyage was to Bermuda. Since then she has carried her crew to exotic ports including French Polynesia, Fiji, China Sea, Japan, Cooks Island, Caribbean, Alaska and New Zealand.

Capitan Christopher Mellor learned sailing from his father in Maine at the age of 8. He piloted "Sensei" from San Francisco to New Zealand and currently holds his United States Coast Guard 6-pack captain's license.
